Colorado Trail Attempt #1

On September 6, 2001 Intergalactic Pilots Whit Johnson, Dan Vardamis and Dave Kingsbury attempted to ride the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango. The Colorado Trail is a 470 mile singletrack that crosses the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Unfortunately, a freak snow storm hit the crew, ending this first attempt after only 2 days. While prepared for many conditions, we did not have the equipment to cross a 12,000 foot pass in more than a foot of snow. Look for our second attempt to take place later this fall or in summer 2002.
